GETTING AROUND MIAMI
Flying In
We recommend flying in through Miami International (MIA) airport. The alternative, Fort Lauderdale (FLL) Airport, is 45 minutes north of the city with no traffic.
ATTN: New Yorkers & Public Transit Enthusiasts
Miami is a car city, but public transportation is possible. Especially if you complement it with last-mile uber/lyft. The map below includes a transit layer that you can turn on (it defaults to off) to illustrate the distance between Metrorail, Bus Rapid Transit, and Tri-Rail (for those coming in through FLL) local sites, our lodging recs and the wedding venue.
ATTN: Drivers
If you’re driving north-south avoid US 1 and take Old Cutler/Red Road/Main Hwy to enjoy the tropical flora! And don’t worry, it is always easy to park in Miami.
